Fossil Flowers in Amber Don't Solve Darwin’s “Abominable Mystery”: This AiG article attack's Darwin's perceived 'abominable mystery,' which was the sudden appearance in the fossil record of fossil flowers.  It's really not that bad of a mystery.  Considering how hard it is to fossilize soft plant material, it's remarkable that we have a fossil record of flowers at all!  We will probably never have a complete record of flowers from the fossil record.  Besides, the 'lack' of a complete fossil record is not evidence of a young earth.  This is a common YEC argument..."the fossil record is not complete, look at all the holes, so the earth must be young." That's nonsense.
