Still Searching for Geology's Holy Grail - Claims that geologists cannot explain how large slabs of continental crust formed, and calls it the search for geology's holy grail. To me, it looks like the author is creating an apparent problem for geologists where there is none. The two studies cited are about the Himalayan mountains and about continental crust formation at subduction zones. These articles do not address the formation of larger slabs of continental crust.
