Examples of Critical Thinking: Biblical Application - This article is part of the ASK series, an acronym for Authority, Starting Point, and Know.  AiG is pushing this ASK method as a way to question claims about science.  In other words, its a YEC method for insulating believers from the truth of science...it filters data through a YEC system meant to discredit scientific claims.  OEC's who frequently deal with YEC's should probably make themselves aware of this YEC method of data sifting.

The Geological Column is a General Flood order with many Exceptions -  This article attempts to explain how Tas Walker's flood model is a good fit with the geologic column.  YEC's will be impressed with how it appears to fit the geologic column, whereas OEC's will shake their heads in disbelief at how bad Walker's model fits with the observed geologic column.

Amber Flowers Challenge Dinosaur Depictions - ICR reports on the discovery of flowers found in amber, that date to the time of the dinosaurs.  The author states that "dinosaur dioramas don't display flowers and grasses--supposedly because they had not yet evolved."  He suggests its time to add flowers and grasses to dinosaur displays.  As an old earth creationist, that's fine with me.  The ICR author intends the article to be anti-evolution and anti-old earth.  However, this discovery of fossil flowers only changes our understanding of when flowers may have evolved (or been created by God).  This data in no way is anti-evolution, nor anti-old earth.
