Argument: 

U-Th dating of volcanic rocks formed in historic times gives dates vastly older than their true age.

  1. This claim is based on a single reference point, and without the reference material, it is impossible to provide a full answer.

  2. Dating tools, like anything else, can be misused and twisted to the users own preferences

  3. The U-Th method is backed by a vast amount of literature supporting its reliability.  One published bad date would not invalidate thousands of other good dates
