Argument:
The geologic record contains many large sandstone formations. These formations cannot be explained by uniformitarianism, as large depositional systems for sand are not evident today. The uniformitarian, slow-deposition model, cannot explain them.

The Sahara desert is extensive, and shows that desert formed sandstones are entirely possible and explained adequately by the uniformitarian system
Water-deposited sandstones form from shorelines and rivers. Shorelines migrate with time, as they recede gradually. We see this today with global warming. The oceans are rising, moving the shoreline inland. When this occurs over hundreds of thousands, or millions of years, they more than adequately account for large sandstone formations. Rivers also meander, spreading their deposits over large areas
A sandstone from a single flood event, such as Noah's Flood, would give the same age, from top to bottom. Ancient sandstone formations vary greatly in age, showing that they were deposited over a long period of time
