Argument:
Natural gas underground is under great pressures. If the earth was old, the gas would have been forced out of their reservoirs, and they would now be empty.

A young gas reservoir does not mean the earth is young. There is no way of telling how long ago the reservoir filled

The high pressures of the reservoirs show that the rocks are impermeable, and able to withstand the pressures over long periods of time.

If the earth were young, the pressures would never have built up in the first place. The very existence of the pressurized reservoirs is testimony against a young earth
