Argument:
Noah's Ark came to rest on Mount Ararat, and we can expect to find it there
Source: LaHaye, Tim, and Morris, John, 1976, The Ark on Ararat, Thomas Nelson Inc., and Creation Life Publishers
Response:
The Bible says in Genesis 8:4 that the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. It did not specifically name Mount Ararat
The mountains of Ararat is a large mountainous region which contains Mount Ararat. It could have come to rest on Mount Ararat, or it could have landed on another mountain hundreds of miles away
The ark would no longer exist. A minimum of 4,500 years of weathering would have destroyed the wood. If it were entombed in a glacier, the ice would have crushed it, contorted it, and separated it into many pieces
If Noah settled by the ark, he probably would have dismantled it and used the wood to construct buildings
