Creation Science Rebuttals

    This article by Answers in Genesis is merely a report on the opening and a brief summary of this display.  They say that they will provide an indepth review of it at a later date.  From the description given by the AiG vacationers, I saw nothing that would be cause for alarm for old earth creationists who believe in evolution.  Of course, there are references to several standard arguments, and there is the strong emotional appeal to the young earth readers, as he relates the story of one mom explaining a hominid to her daughter.  If you can get past the emotional arguments against evolution, you will have no problem seeing through these.

    For old earth creationists who do not believe in evolution (Progressive creationists), you will probably agree with many of the issues which Answers in Genesis will argue against.

    From the description of the exhibit, this sounds like an exhibit that many old earth creationists would enjoy.  And, because belief (or non-belief) in evolution does not matter from a theological perspective, you are free to accept the stories told by the displays, or ignore them.  Therefore, unlike the Answers in Genesis creation museum that will open in 2007, you won't have to "check your brains at the door."  (In the young earth culture, people are taught to accept the words of the "experts."  The common believer has no need to "think" about it...merely accept it.)
