Catching Bigger, Stronger, Faster Prey

     The 18 January 06 daily feature for the young earth creation science ministry Creation Moments discusses the jellyfish.

     The Creation Moments author gives some general facts about jellyfish.  The meat of this article deals with how the jellyfish catches its prey.  Although the jellyfish is nothing more than a bag of Jell-O (their words), it catches prey by injecting it with toxins.

     Although this is nice to know, it contributes nothing to the creation debate.  It is meant to make the Christian reader wonder at the marvels of God's creation.  I agree, it is wonderful, but it is basically an emotional argument.

     As Christians we should thank God for all of his creation.  However, as is typical of Creation Moments claims, this is strictly an emotional "God of the Gaps" type argument.  Presenting such an argument in defense of creation is a pointless exercise in futility...it will strengthen those who already believe, but will do nothing to argue for your position with the atheist or old earth creationist.
