A Thousand Words for a Bee

     The 19 January 06 daily feature for the young earth creation science ministry Creation Moments discusses the bee's intelligence.

     Recent experiments show that the bee can remember sight-pictures of the flowers that are beneficial for it.  The Creation Moments author says that evolution is having to re-think its assumptions about so-called higher and lower creatures, and evolutionists "have to rethink their view of the world." 

     Evolutionists are not rethinking their view of the world...they are rethinking how evolution works.  They are not discarding evolution...they are modifying their thoughts about evolution.  The bee does nothing to disprove evolution, nor support young earth creation science.

     As Christians we should thank God for all of his creation.  However, as is typical of Creation Moments claims, this is strictly an emotional "God of the Gaps" type argument.  Presenting such an argument in defense of creation is a pointless exercise in futility...it will strengthen those who already believe, but will do nothing to argue for your position with the atheist or old earth creationist.
