God's Mind is Bigger Than Ours

     The 21 February 06 daily feature for the young earth creation science ministry Creation Moments discusses cosmology.

     The author begins by saying how the universe is amazing and full of mysteries.  He goes on to say "One would think that the cosmologist would be more likely than most to recognize the genius of God."  The author is right.  Many cosmologists today are faced with the inevitable conclusion that there is a creator behind the cosmos.  In fact, when the Big Bang was first proposed, it was rejected because it said there was a starting point, thus a "starter" responsible for it.  Many years later, after observational evidence proved the Big Bang, it was finally accepted.

     The Big Bang, more than any theory in science, is responsible for many coming to know our Savior.  While I agree with the authors at Creation Moments, that the cosmos is wonderful, it is impossible to ignore the Big Bang (unless you do so willingly).  As Christians we should thank God for providing a clear picture of His creation event.  However, Creation Moments has denied the Big Bang in this article, and their others, because it is a threat to their young earth views. 

     Typical of Creation Moments claims, they have turned cosmology into a simple awe-inspiring thing to admire, in other words, a "God of the Gaps" type argument.  Presenting such an argument in defense of creation is a pointless exercise in futility...it will strengthen those who already believe, but will do nothing to argue for your position with the atheist or old earth creationist.  As such, it has no value in the creation science debate.
