Is Your Doctor an Old Crab?

     The 6 March 06 daily feature for the young earth creation science ministry Creation Moments discusses chitin obtained from the shells of dead organisms.

     They depict the extraction of this material from the shells, and how useful it is to mankind.  From the title of the article, I expected quite a different argument, however, they never say how they got the title from the story below.  Yes, chitin is used in sutures (by doctors), and it comes from shells (crabs produce chitin), but that's it...there is no development or discussion of a doctor being a crab.

     As Christians we should thank God for the many uses of items in his creation.  However, as is typical of Creation Moments claims, this is strictly a "God of the Gaps" type argument.  Presenting such an argument in defense of creation is a pointless exercise in futility...it will strengthen those who already believe, but will do nothing to argue for your position with the atheist or old earth creationist.
