Creation Science Reviews

      On 28 March 2006 Creation Ministries International published an article addressing the infallible Word of God.¹

   Fortunately for me, I agree that the Word of God is infallible.  There is no problems believing in an infallible, inerrant Word, and an old earth.  However, this is not the view of this young earth author, although he barely touches on creation.

    For the first half of this lengthy article, it is a good discussion on the issue, one that will edify all Christians, old earth and young earth.  However, this is a young earth ministry website, and he does try to tie this into creation about 2/3 of the way through.  However, he only mentions two minor claims, neither of which warrants a comment.  He keeps it very general, without going into much detail.  I was impressed here, as he remained focused on his main topic (the Word), and did not let "creation" issues sidetrack him.

     Overall, the author did a good job of relating this subject.  However, its lack of discussion of things concerning the creation makes this a palatable essay even for old earth believers.  In fact, I could have easily ignored this, and not written a rebuttal for it.  However, it is another opportunity to point out that young earth creationists are not the only Christians who believe in an infallible Word.  You can be a Christian, believe in an infallible, inerrant Word, and a literal translation of Genesis, and believe that the earth is old (with or without evolution).
