Ice Age Chronology

In an article on the Creation, Dinosaurs and the Flood website, young earth creation science advocate Charlie Liebert argues that a young earth chronology for the ice age (single) puts the end of the Ice Age around 1500 B.C.1
It should be pointed out that the evidence presented is all anecdotal evidence. For instance, maps which show Ice Age coastlines, and were used by Turkish admirals is one example. However, according to Michael Oard, the young earth authority on the Ice Age, the duration of the Ice Age was only 500 years. Given that the Tower of Babel occurred anywhere from 101 to 310 years after the Flood, and given the circumstances, the later date is probably more accurate. That only gives about 200 years for the people to disperse from Babel, and form a civilization that authored the maps (the "Tyranean Sea Fish" peoples). Then the map was used in subsequent generations by Turks. The timeline given does not support the young earth viewpoint.
The other main point of evidence is from megaliths. Megaliths found on the sea floor apparently indicate that the sea level has risen rapidly after the so-called end of the ice age in about 1500 B.C. Many megaliths were used in pagan rituals, such as Stonehenge...which begs the question...were the underwater megaliths start there? Angry Christians (or Muslims, or whatever) may have destroyed the megaliths and cast them into the sea. If the megaliths were in place, then they must predate 1500 B.C. (and the young earth date of the Flood, about 2300 B.C.!) Here is why.
The sea level change since the end of the ice age is easily charted, and it shows a large increase in sea level, starting about 20,000 years ago, and ending about 8,000 years ago. Over the last 8,000 years, back to 6000 B.C., the sea level globally has only risen about 7 meters. Since 4,000 B.C., the level has only risen 3 meters, and since 2,000 B.C., only one meter. This is insufficient to submerge the megaliths. The claim that rapid melting at the end of the young earth Ice Age is contradicted by the scientific facts. (Post-Glacial Sea Level Chart).
Since the motifs of the submerged Mediterranean megaliths all indicate an age of about 2,000 B.C, and during the last 4,000 years the sea level has only increased about three feet, this is insufficient to submerge them. Either the dating of the motifs is wrong, or they were cast into the water, and are not in their original locations. Either way, this young earth theory is busted.
