An Initial Estimate toward Identifying and Numbering the Ark Turtle and Crocodile Kinds - This article strives to identify the number of turtle and crocodile species that were on the Ark. Sounds like a useless study, but for YEC's, it has great importance. All animals must fit on the ark, because in their worldwide flood scenario, anything outside the ark died. And since all species alive today had to have 'evolved' from those on the Ark, the number that were on the Ark is important. However, we know there is no evidence for a worldwide flood. Therefore, many species outside the local flood zone would have been unaffected. This exercise in futility is merely "preaching to the choir," as the scientific community is busy with real science.

Camels-Confirmation of Creation - This article explains the camel, and its design features that help it survive in harsh environments. True, we can all marvel at the way God designed the camel. However, whether he created the camel instantly, or through the process of evolution, makes no difference, and has no bearing on the message of salvation in the Bible. Technically, this is a God of the Gaps argument.

Blind Cavefish Shed Light on Creation - Discusses the blind cavefish, who have lost eyes due to "evolution." ICR disputes this, questioning how this can be evolution. The issue is one where eye development is controlled via a protein called HSP90, and not through mutations that favor survival. While interesting, the bottom line is that if God is involved/controlling the evolutionary process, ICR's argument is moot. Could this process have evolved naturally? I don't know, but it does not concern me or theistic evolutionists. Even more important, will such an argument advance the cause of the Gospel among non-believers? Not likely, since it falls into the category of a God of the Gaps argument.

Space-Age Vindication for the Bible - Discusses Job 26:7, which states "He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing." This devotion has no bearing on the age of the earth, as OEC's can agree with it.

Did you know that you can be a Christian,
and believe that the earth is billions of years old? You can even
believe in evolution and be a Christian. There is no conflict
between science and the Bible...all one needs is a proper
understanding how to merge science and the Bible. To learn more
