What do Americans say about their religious beliefs? Morris examines a nationwide poll which was commissioned by a liberal, anti-Christian group.
Morris discusses what he sees as flaws in this survey. I agree with Morris, in that the sponsors of this poll worded the poll so that answers could be more in their favor. Despite this effort, the poll results still showed that many people still doubt evolution. However, since Morris presents nothing in this answer that attacks old earth creationism, a point-by-point rebuttal is unnecessary.
There are more effective, neutral polls out there. Some of the best polls from a Christian perspective come from the Barna Group.
If you are not a Christian, and you have been holding out on making a decision for Christ because the Church always preached a message that was contrary to what you saw in the scientific world, then rest assured that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, and you can believe in Christ and receive salvation, while still believing in an old earth.
